Energy use in production
Manufacturing processes in China can be energy-intensive, and traditionally much of the energy has come from carbon-intensive coal-fired power plants. At the same time, China is a leader in renewable energy investment, with rapid growth in solar and wind power.
China's role in green energy
China is the world’s largest producer of renewable energy and a leader in the development of green energy sources. Shenzhen, where we have our office, has been named China’s greenest city due to its strong focus on sustainable solutions and clean energy. The city has taken major steps to reduce carbon emissions through electrification of public transport and a focus on clean energy.
We work with our suppliers to measure and assess their efforts to reduce their carbon footprint.
