Pioneering studio lights produced for Kelvin are making international success.
Kelvin, known as The LED Technology Pioneer, is developed by Rift Labs, a Norwegian company specializing in studio lighting. Since 2010, they have been developing their innovative LED lighting technology at Vinterbro.

The international breakthrough came in 2018, when the film and photography industry in the US opened its eyes to the products. Kelvin has a series of premium LED studio lights that are used by photographers and filmmakers worldwide.
"The Epos 600 is the most powerful studio light in its class, with a full color spectrum and precise light control, and is the result of decades of development. The light is designed to withstand life on a film set, which entails very high demands on quality and robust mechanical construction." - Halvard Aasgaard, CEO Kelvin
High demands for precision
Kelvin has chosen NewTracks as the supplier of all mechanics for the Epos 600 studio light, which takes an already impressive product catalog to new heights. Norwegian Minoko is behind the product design. – Here we get to help create world-class Norwegian technology, says founder/CEO of NewTracks, Julius Espedal. Epos 600 is a solid, precise and user-friendly studio light with a full-color spectrum 600W COB (Chip On Board) LED.

"Working on the development of Kelvin has been an exciting process for us at Minoko Design. Our collaboration with Rift Labs has made it possible to create an innovative and award-winning product that combines functionality, aesthetics and technology in a unique way." - Kathrine Lindholm, CEO Minoko Design
From idea to success
NewTracks manufactures everything you see on the outside of the studio light, with a frame consisting of 6 mm machined aluminum plates and extruded aluminum parts. The enclosure has been given an IP65 classification. Kelvin assembles the electronics, tests, calibrates and completes the product in Norway.

– The studio light places extremely high demands on precision, quality and accuracy in every step. The project has been demanding, but all the more rewarding to be a part of. - Julius Espedal, NewTracks founder
– There is a lot of good technology being developed in Norway, but in order for it to compete and assert itself internationally, production must be at the highest level and at international costs. With our focus on quality and efficient production, we contribute to the success of Norwegian technology, says Espedal.
